The new neighborhood in
Stapleton is starting to take shape and several model homes are under
construction. The neighborhood will be
called Conservatory Green and is located north of I-70 and just across the
street from The Shops at Northfield Stapleton.
According to Forest City Stapleton, the model homes and nearly 500 homes
will be available sometime this spring.
Forest City Stapleton
reported last week that the Visitor Center for Conservatory Green will open in
March. The Visitor Center is under
construction and located north at 4928 Uinta Street, Denver CO 80238 of The
Shops at Northfield Stapleton. For

Conservatory Green is just to the north of the Starbucks at 4928 Uinta
Street—not correct on Google Maps.
Forest City explained in
an article on their website StapletonDenver.com
the inspiration behind Conservatory Green.
“The neighborhood is also named for the green and plaza at its center:
Conservatory Green Plaza will have unique gathering spots such as a shade
structure, water feature and the community's first fire pit, while the
Conservatory Green will have striking landscapes and an open lawn for the whole
family.” At recent Realtor meeting with
Forest City the staff shared with us the vision for Conservatory Green. They talked a lot about the goal of the homes
and the design of the neighborhood complementing the historic prairie
landscape.
The new neighborhood
design will offer homeowners the option to build a new home with an urban
garden ready for planting. The idea is
to give residents the option to plant vegetables and even raise chickens. I don’t know about the whole chicken thing,
but sustainability is a new buzzword that is being incorporated into
Conservatory Green. A 40+-acre park will
be developed on the west side of the neighborhood simultaneously with the new
construction homes. Forest City also
boasted that homeowners will have access to faster technology, which is geared
toward the many Stapleton residents that work from home.
Below is a map from the
Forest City Stapleton website with a conceptual view of the neighborhood.
Many of the same
Stapleton builders will be building in Conservatory Green. Below is a list of the builders listed on
Forest City’s website and the models they plan to build in Conservatory
Green.
